Stockholm’s Viagra Boys, a fixture in the modern post-punk revival, have announced a sprawling 2025 tour that will see them traverse Europe, the UK, and North America. The “Infinite Anxiety Tour” kicks off with a pair of performances at Coachella on April 12 and 19 before the band embarks on an extensive European leg in April and May. This marks their first major North American headlining tour in two years.
The North American stretch of the tour launches September 10 in Vancouver and runs through October 10, closing in Los Angeles. The band is set to perform in 23 cities, including key stops in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and Montreal, where they’ll play at MTelus on September 22.
This announcement follows their inclusion in Coachella’s 2025 lineup, solidifying the band’s rising global profile. It’s a notable milestone for a group that has cultivated a loyal following with their frenetic live performances and irreverent, genre-blurring sound.
Since forming in 2015, Viagra Boys have stood out in the post-punk landscape, blending sharp social commentary with a chaotic energy reminiscent of Iggy Pop and The Jesus Lizard. Tracks like “Ain’t Nice” and “Sports” balance visceral humour with biting critiques of modern absurdities, a formula that has earned them critical acclaim and a reputation as one of the most entertaining live acts in their genre. Their 2022 album, Cave World, tackled themes of conspiracy theories and societal unrest, pairing wry lyricism with unpredictable arrangements that span from saxophone squalls to motorik beats.
The band’s onstage antics are as notorious as their music. Frontman Sebastian Murphy’s unpredictable energy has become a signature, while their shows often involve unorthodox props and interactions that keep audiences guessing.
Tickets for the Infinite Anxiety Tour go on presale at 9 AM PST on Wednesday, December 11, with general sales following at 10 AM local time on Thursday, December 12.
