Osheaga Tips
A little under two weeks away, and the weather seems to be free of major natural disasters, with a mix of sun and clouds, and mid 20s predicted.
Bring a reusable water bottle, which you can replenish at refilling stations inside the festival. Staying hydrated is even more important if you choose to consume alcohol.
Apart from a snack such as a candy bar, you will have to rely on the various food vendors for sustenance with options for vegans and those that are gluten-free. You cannot bring in bigger items such as sandwiches, so make sure to have your debit/credit cards with you.
Bring sunscreen to prevent the “lobster” look, and a hat can help give some shade when it gets hot.
Being Montreal, bring a light raincoat, just in case as hour weather can change hourly.
Friday Guide
If you are into EDM, the Coca-Cola Island Stage will be your go to destination.
The festival will start at 2PM with either synth-pop electronic band Magdalena Bay (Coors Light Mounting Stage) or hip-hop with Quebec’s own Mindflip (Green Stage).
Soccer Mommy was at the Corona Theatre in March 2022 (review) and worthy of the Bell River Stage at 4:05 PM. Sophia Regina Allison, from Nashville Tennessee will bring some Indie Alternative vibes to the festival with her honest lyrics and catchy tunes.
You might want to dance to edemame from bbno$ (4:45 PM Green Stage), or stick to the big stages with more Indie Rock from The Backseat Lovers.
Make sure to stop and listen to Montreal’s Easy Tiger for the Backyard Sessions Sirius XM. The band comprised of Gabrielle La Rue (Guidestones) and Sarah Dion (NOBRO, Les Shirley) will play a great set.
In the what will they pull off this time portion of the weekend, we have the incomparable The Flaming Lips(Bell River Stage 7:20 PM) who will surely deliver a festive party, like only they can pull off. I’m still finding confetti from the time I caught them at MTelus back in 2018.
RÜFÜS DU SOL will end the night with a bang expending any energy left if your tank.
