Montreal’s own The Damn Truth are set to hit a significant milestone with their upcoming headliner at MTELUS on March 26, 2025. The show is billed as an album launch party and it’ll be followed by a second show in Quebec City on March 28. Known for their blues-infused rock and powerful live performances, the band has spent the last decade carving out a space in the Canadian music scene and beyond.
Formed in 2011, The Damn Truth’s journey has been anything but conventional. The four-piece, led by singer and guitarist Lee-La Baum, built their reputation by blending vintage rock influences with a contemporary edge, making them stand out from the indie and pop-heavy Montreal music landscape. Their hard work paid off in recent years, with multiple Canadian tours and a growing presence on the international stage, particularly in Europe.
For a band that started playing small clubs around Montreal, the MTELUS show is a definitive leap. While they’ve opened for acts like ZZ Top and Styx, this will be their largest headlining venue in their hometown.
The band have also released a new song from their forthcoming album, produced by the legendary Bob Rock (Metallica). Watch the visualizer for “The Willow” below:
