Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) has released their first single since the departure of keyboardist and percussionist Jordan Fish.
“Kool-Aid” arrives on the heels of a successful year for BMTH, which included a series of sold-out shows, a notable headline performance at Download Festival, and participation in Fall Out Boy’s stadium tour across the U.S. Additionally, the band toured Asia and headlined NEX_FEST Japan, which they also curated. This momentum is set to continue with a sold-out UK tour planned for the year, including two nights at the O2 Arena, where over 110,000 tickets were sold on the first day.
The single showcases the band’s continued exploration of a blend between heavy rock elements and electronic influences. Oli Sykes’ distinct vocal style punctuates the track, which adheres to the band’s established thematic focus on introspective and societal issues. The production of “Kool-Aid” maintains the high quality associated with BMTH’s recent works, featuring layered instrumentals and a polished sound mix.

In an era where rock often seems overshadowed by other genres, Bring Me The Horizon stands as a defiant beacon, shattering expectations and reaching new heights in the global music scene. This Sheffield-based group, composed of vocalist Oli Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, and drummer Mat Nicholls, has etched its name into the annals of rock history, not just as musicians, but as trailblazers.
Since their inception, Bring Me The Horizon has amassed a staggering over 5 million album sales worldwide, a testament to their growing influence and the undying loyalty of their fans. Their journey from the local stages of Sheffield to headlining major festivals like Download, Reading & Leeds, and even breaking the mould at Glastonbury speaks volumes about their versatility and mass appeal.
The band’s foray into the POST HUMAN era, beginning with the critically lauded EP ‘POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR’, marked a new chapter in their evolution. Debuting at Number 1 on the UK Album chart, this EP was just the first of a quartet, each promising to explore new realms of sound and emotion. Their collaboration with Ed Sheeran at the 2022 BRIT Awards for a rendition of “Bad Habits” further showcased their ability to transcend genre boundaries.
Their sixth studio album, ‘amo’, released in 2019, not only topped charts in 17 markets but also earned the band their second GRAMMY nomination, cementing their status in the rock pantheon. The diversity of their music, evident in tracks like “Kool-Aid,” “DArkSide,” and “sTraNgeRs”, has contributed to their staggering online presence, with over 1 billion video views on YouTube and a prominent spot among Spotify’s most streamed artists.
