Sheffield-based rock band Bring Me The Horizon has officially announced the departure of keyboardist and percussionist Jordan Fish, ending an 11-year collaboration that significantly influenced the band’s sound. Fish joined the group in 2012, playing a pivotal role in the band’s evolution by integrating electronic elements into their music. This shift was notably evident in their 2013 album ‘Sempiternal’ and continued through subsequent albums, including ‘That’s The Spirit (2015), ‘amo’ (2019), and ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’ (2020).
The band expressed their gratitude to Fish in a statement, thanking him for his contributions and wishing him success in future endeavours. They also hinted at ongoing work on their upcoming album ‘Nex Gen,’ promising new music soon, and mentioned their upcoming UK tour in January.

See you on our UK tour…
Jordan Fish reciprocated the sentiment in his statement, expressing pride in their joint achievements and excitement for the next chapter in his career. He also conveyed his eagerness to see the band’s future work.
Speculation about Fish’s future with Bring Me The Horizon had been rife among fans, especially after his absence from several dates of the band’s recent Asian tour and a noticeable lack of his presence in the band’s recent social media posts.
The band has not yet announced a replacement for Fish. Meanwhile, frontman Oli Sykes teased fans with a snippet of a new track, ‘Kool-Aid’, from the upcoming album ‘Post Human: NeX GEn’. The Instagram story revealed that ‘Kool-Aid’ is set to be the second song on the album, which also features tracks with working titles such as ‘ScREam’ and ‘toP 10 STatUes THAT CRiED BLood’.
‘NeX GEn’ was initially scheduled for a September 15 release, following the band’s headline performance at the Download Festival. However, the release was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, with Sykes assuring fans that the new release date is imminent.
Sykes has described the upcoming album as “unhinged,” drawing inspiration from emo and hardcore music. He cited influences ranging from Linkin Park to Glassjaw and expressed a desire to embrace a more raw and less polished sound, reminiscent of the band’s earlier style and the energy of the emo, hardcore, and screamo genres.
Fans eagerly await further updates on ‘NeX GEn’ and the band’s future direction following this significant lineup change.
