Southern California’s Bleeding Through has unveiled plans for their ninth studio album, Nine, slated for release on February 14 via SharpTone Records. The announcement marks a significant return for the metalcore veterans, who last released an album, Love Will Kill All, in 2018.
The band has already teased the upcoming record with singles “Our Brand Is Chaos” and “Dead But So Alive,” both showcasing their signature mix of hardcore aggression, blackened atmosphere, and thrash precision. Today, they’ve added another track to the mix: “Path of Our Disease,” a searing critique of societal unrest accompanied by a visually stark music video.
Speaking about the new single, vocalist Brandan Schieppati described it as a response to what he sees as a growing disconnection in modern culture. “‘Path of Our Disease’ is a song about the disgusting social climate of the world. We are becoming a species that is never satisfied. We think the grass is always greener and are forgetting what loyalty is,” he said.

Schieppati also addressed the band’s broader vision for Nine. “This is everything we’ve been working towards,” he stated. “This is the culmination of 25 years. This is Bleeding Through in its purest form.”
Bleeding Through has long been a fixture in the metalcore scene, blending hardcore intensity with symphonic and black metal influences. Emerging from Orange County in the early 2000s, their breakout album This Is Love, This Is Murderous (2003) was pivotal in defining the genre’s direction. Since then, the band has built a reputation for high-energy live performances and a willingness to evolve musically.
The lineup for Nine includes Schieppati, Derek Youngsma (drums), John Arnold (guitar), Ryan Wombacher (bass), Marta Peterson (keys, vocals), and Brandon Richter (guitar). With this release, the group appears poised to reinforce their legacy as one of metalcore’s enduring acts.
Bleeding Through’s announcement comes as the band nears 25 years in the music industry—a milestone that Schieppati notes is reflected in the intensity of their new material. Fans can expect Nine to deliver the dark, visceral sound they’ve come to associate with the group while continuing to push the boundaries of heavy music.
Nine will be available on all major platforms February 14.
