Wednesday Announce Fall Tour including Club Soda Date

North Carolina band Wednesday have confirmed a slate of North American fall tour dates, including a Montreal stop at Club Soda on November 14. The announcement follows the release of their latest single, Elderberry Wine, and the band’s recent television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The upcoming tour is split between two support acts: Philadelphia slowcore outfit Friendship will join Wednesday on their western leg, while rising artist Daffo supports the eastern run, including the Montreal date.

Pre-sale tickets become available June 4, with general on-sale starting June 6 at 10 a.m. local time.

The tour marks Wednesday’s first extended run since their breakout year in 2023, when their album Rat Saw God landed on more than a dozen year-end lists, including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NPR, and The Atlantic. With Elderberry Wine, the band builds on that momentum. The new track, a dust-coated blend of alt-country and rock, was named “Best New Track” by Pitchfork, and Rolling Stone called it “razor-sharp.”

Lead singer Karly Hartzman’s vocal performance on Elderberry Wine has drawn particular attention, with Stereogum describing it as “one of her best vocal performances yet” and Flood calling it “intoxicating.” The single is the band’s first new material since Rat Saw God, though no new album has been officially announced.

Wednesday—comprised of Hartzman, MJ Lenderman, Xandy Chelmis, Alan Miller, and Ethan Baechtold—has built a reputation for fusing noise rock, country, and Southern gothic storytelling into something distinct yet unassuming. Their live shows, especially in intimate venues like Club Soda, tend to draw deeply engaged audiences.

The November show in Montreal falls in the final leg of the tour, which includes stops at Brooklyn Steel, Toronto’s Concert Hall, and the Riviera Theatre in Chicago. For a band still charting its post-breakthrough path, Wednesday’s return to Canada signals both growing demand and a widening national presence.
