As a stream of fans made their way to Club Soda on Friday, March 14, to see SahBabii and Che perform, I prepared myself for what would be an amazing yet hectic show.
At 19, I never expected to see someone younger than me perform, but Che, who just turned 18 in August, put on a killer set for the underground scene. Honestly, I was surprised to see him as SahBabii’s opener since their music isn’t all that similar, but the crowd didn’t seem to mind. A mosh pit formed for almost every song, and even from the outskirts, I could feel the energy radiating from the audience.

As a fan, it was hard not to ditch my camera and jump into the pit, but I stuck to my duties, moving through the venue and trying to get shots from the sidelines since, unfortunately, there was no photo pit.
Che’s setlist was mainly made up of newer tracks from Sayso Says, but he also performed some of his bigger songs like Miley Cyrus and the high-energy Pizza Time. To the crowd’s disappointment, he chose not to perform his biggest hit, agenda, but even without it, he still delivered a solid performance, closing with SASKA YOU MADE IT.

Then came SahBabii, who wasted no time proving why he was the main event. He started his set seated at a dinner table, complete with wine glasses and cutlery, performing Don Quan Intro from his latest album, Saaheem. The melancholic start was short-lived, though, as he jumped into All The Way, setting off a roar of excitement from the crowd.
The most memorable moment of the night came halfway through his set. After briefly disappearing from the stage, the massive black curtain behind him dropped, revealing an actual house with squid tentacles emerging from it. As the crowd went insane, SahBabii casually walked through the front door and continued his performance.

The rest of his set was stacked with hits, including Marsupial Superstars and Boyfriend, where he brought out special guest T3. T3 also performed a solo track, which the crowd welcomed with open arms.
Sah closed the night with Pull Up Wit Ah Stick and his latest banger, Viking. The audience chanted for one more song, but he didn’t return. Still, everyone left the venue knowing they had just witnessed something special—a night of insane energy, surprise moments, and performances that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
