Ryan Kennedy released a music video for Wicked Ways, a track from his November album South of the Border. The video, directed by Samuel Choquette, was filmed at Théâtre du Marais in Montreal and features Kennedy with bassist JS Baciu and drummer Demetrio Maso. The song deals with fragility, doubt, and the choice to move forward anyway.
Kennedy described the track as capturing “that moment when everything seems fragile, but you still choose to believe.” He framed it as a song about leaving fears behind to make room for what he calls “simple and true love.” The video extends that sense of movement and raw emotion that drove the writing.

South of the Border is Kennedy’s fourth album, following Libertine in 2022, Love Is Gold in 2017, and Home Fires in 2015. The Morin-Heights singer-songwriter has racked up over 2 million streams across his catalogue and won a SOCAN Award in 2018 for Honest Song, which was among Quebec’s most-played songs for two consecutive years. He first gained wider attention through appearances on The Voice in 2015 and The Voice France in 2018.
Kennedy is touring the album across Quebec through October, starting April 30 in Montreal. The run includes stops in Malartic, Amos, Varennes, Morin-Heights, Sorel-Tracy, Lotbinière, Pont-Rouge, Dorval, Chambly, Gatineau, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Saint-Colomban, and Coaticook. The tour wraps October 8 in Coaticook.
