Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have expanded their Fifty Something Tour to include 17 additional North American cities, with a September 2 show confirmed at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
The announcement follows a complete sellout of the tour’s initial dates across seven cities. Lee and Lifeson expressed surprise at the response in a recent video message, noting their appreciation for fans’ enthusiasm and the warm reception for drummer Anika Nilles, who will join them on stage.
The Montreal date is part of a second wave that includes Philadelphia, Boston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Edmonton, Seattle, and Vancouver, among others. These additions bring the total tour schedule to over 30 dates across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, beginning June 7, 2026 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
This marks the first time Lee and Lifeson have toured together since the R40 Tour concluded on August 1, 2015, also at the Forum. The Fifty Something shows will celebrate Rush’s music and legacy while honouring late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who passed away in January 2020.
Each performance is structured as an “evening with” format, featuring two sets per night. The band plans to draw from a pool of 35 songs, including catalogue staples and fan favourites, with setlists varying from show to show.
Nilles, a German drummer, composer, and producer, previously performed over 60 shows with Jeff Beck and has released four solo albums. Her involvement represents the first time Lee and Lifeson have performed with a drummer other than Peart since Rush formed in 1968.
Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale October 31 at noon local time. A Rush artist presale begins October 27, with access available to fans who register at livemu.sc/rush by October 23. Citi cardmembers in the U.S. and American Express cardmembers in Canada will have access to separate presales beginning October 24.
The tour coincides with the release of Rush 50, a super deluxe anthology spanning the band’s career from their 1973 debut single through the final song performed at the R40 Tour’s conclusion.Retry
