Montreal Oi! Fest returned to the city with an impressive lineup full of energy and punk rock spirit.
Kicking things off were the infectious beats of Bishops Green, bringing their West Coast charm all the way from Vancouver to kick off the festivities in style. Joining them were the legendary Partisans, who delivered their punk rock prowess straight from the UK and Sweden. Then there was the sonic assault of MESS from Mexico, the raw energy of Fuerza Bruta from the USA, and the unstoppable force of Empire Down, also hailing from the States. Plus, representing the local scene, we got the gritty sounds of Montreal’s own Unwanted Noise.
Saturday, April 27th, delivered another wild ride with Lion’s Law bringing their French flair to the stage, together with The Oppressed straight from Wales, who delivered their powerful message of resistance loud and clear. Joining them were the hardcore punks Ultra Sect from the USA, the rebellious spirit of Reckless Upstarts from Ontario, and the relentless energy of 21 Gun Salute, also from the States. And of course, representing the local talent, we had Montreal’s very own JAIL.
