Journey Will Play Montreal One Last Time

Journey hits Montreal’s Bell Centre on March 11 as part of their Final Frontier farewell tour, which launches February 28 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The show comes less than two weeks into the 60-date run that marks the end of the band’s 53-year career.

The Bell Centre date is part of a Canadian swing that includes Ottawa on March 7, Hamilton on March 9, and Quebec City on March 12. All shows are billed as “A Special Evening With” performances with no opening acts. The tour wraps its first leg July 2 in Laredo, Texas.

Journey’s current lineup features founding guitarist Neal Schon, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, vocalist Arnel Pineda, keyboardist Jason Derlatka, drummer Deen Castronovo and bassist Todd Jensen. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame act has sold over 100 million albums and their Greatest Hits is certified 15 times platinum. Don’t Stop Believin’ has been streamed over a billion times.

“This tour is our heartfelt thank you to the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way,” Schon said when announcing the dates in November. He’s made it clear the band’s end doesn’t mean he’s retiring. “I carry the Journey torch to this day, wherever I go. While this marks a farewell to one powerful chapter of the Journey we’ve shared, I want everyone to know I’m not done.”

The tour includes stops across North America and a performance at Stagecoach Festival in April. Journey’s 2018 co-headlining run with Def Leppard sold over a million tickets and earned them a Billboard “Legends Of Live” award.
