Montreal’s annual country music festival, LASSO, returns to Parc Jean-Drapeau next summer, with Jelly Roll and Bailey Zimmerman stepping in as headliners. Announced by promoter Evenko, this year’s festival marks the fourth instalment of LASSO and is set to run on August 15 and 16, 2025.
Nashville’s own Jelly Roll, who’s garnered a significant following for his unique blend of country, rock, and hip-hop, is headlining the festival. Known for his raw, autobiographical lyrics, Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) started his music career in the early 2000s and gradually rose to mainstream attention with hits like “Save Me” and “Son of a Sinner.” He’s an artist who has lived the stories he tells, tackling subjects like addiction and mental health that resonate with fans across genre lines.
Joining him is Bailey Zimmerman, one of country music’s rising stars. With a sound that blends country roots with a modern edge, Zimmerman gained traction with hits like “Fall in Love” and “Rock and a Hard Place.” The Illinois native started off posting music on social media and quickly caught the attention of industry insiders and fans alike. Since then, he’s proven himself as a capable songwriter and a compelling performer, with a knack for storytelling that has helped him carve out a niche in the country scene.
Two-day tickets for the event, starting at $245, will be available for purchase starting Friday, October 11. The ticket price grants festival-goers access to both days of performances, with a broader lineup announcement expected in the New Year.
LASSO’s growth over the past three years has made it a staple in Montreal’s summer music scene, drawing country music fans from across Canada and beyond. Parc Jean-Drapeau, located on Île Sainte-Hélène, provides a scenic backdrop for the festival, which has previously hosted major acts such as Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley.
As one of Canada’s prominent country music events, LASSO not only showcases a mix of seasoned artists and emerging talent but also underscores Montreal’s expanding musical landscape. With Jelly Roll and Bailey Zimmerman at the helm for 2025, festival-goers can look forward to another solid lineup of country acts, celebrating the genre’s diversity and depth.
