Montreal-based artist Claudia Bouvette has just released her latest track, “Don’t Wanna Hear That Song Anymore,” a moody departure from her earlier summer singles, “Call Me Back!” and “W.O.W.Y.” The new song takes listeners into the emotional core of a relationship fraying at the edges, driven by a simple yet evocative guitar line.
The song, co-written with singer-songwriter Soran, who also collaborated on her previous releases, delves into themes of miscommunication and the slow erosion of trust. Unlike the upbeat energy of her earlier work, “Don’t Wanna Hear That Song Anymore” opts for a more subdued approach, embracing a sound reminiscent of 1970s folk music. The understated arrangement allows Bouvette’s lyrics to take centre stage, exploring the quiet devastation of a relationship unravelling.
The accompanying music video, shot against the picturesque landscapes of Mexico, complements the song’s introspective tone. Bouvette’s performance in the video adds an extra layer of melancholy, capturing the essence of a story that feels both personal and universal.
Bouvette’s musical evolution continues to draw attention, especially following the release of her debut album, The Paradise Club, in 2022. She has performed at prominent festivals like Osheaga and Festival d’été de Québec and has opened for big names such as Ne-Yo and Sean Paul. This new single marks another step in her artistic journey, showcasing a more mature and reflective side of her songwriting.
Fans can catch Claudia Bouvette live at the Fono Festival in Quebec City on September 14th, and later at Club Soda in Montreal on November 22nd as part of the Marathon Festival, presented by M pour Montréal.

“Don’t Wanna Hear That Song Anymore” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
