Billy Talent & Alexisonfire Bring Anniversary Tour To Montreal

Billy Talent and Alexisonfire will perform at the Bell Centre on July 17, playing their landmark 2006 albums in full as part of a two-city anniversary tour. The bands are celebrating 20 years since the release of Billy Talent II and Crisis, with Billy Talent performing their album front to back alongside Alexisonfire’s complete rendition of Crisis.

The Montreal show follows a June 24 date at Wembley Arena in London. Artist presales begin February 10 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, with general sales opening February 13. The bands are donating $1 CAD per Montreal ticket to EB Research Partnership, War Child Canada, Young Minds, and ASTT(e)Q through a partnership with PLUS1.

Both albums arrived in 2006 and marked commercial peaks for the Ontario bands. Billy Talent II debuted at number one in Canada and Germany, eventually selling over one million copies worldwide and earning 4x Platinum certification in Canada. The album produced rock radio mainstays including Devil in a Midnight Mass, Fallen Leaves, and Red Flag, and won the JUNO Award for Rock Album of the Year.

Crisis also debuted at number one in Canada and became one of Alexisonfire’s most successful releases. The album took a darker turn both thematically and sonically, with the title track referencing the Blizzard of ’77 and the band stripping down their production approach to capture their live sound. The cover features Erno Rossi’s photographs from the storm, including an image of a victim with frostbitten hands.

The two bands emerged within months of each other in the early 2000s and have maintained a close relationship throughout their careers, moving from club shows in 2003 to arenas and festivals internationally. Billy Talent will receive the Humanitarian Award at the 2026 JUNO Awards for their philanthropic work with organizations including Make Music Matter, War Child, and MS Canada.
