Biffy Clyro Bring Futique Tour to Montreal

Biffy Clyro will play Beanfield Theatre on May 3, part of a North American tour that kicks off April 20 in Los Angeles. The Scottish trio’s return to the continent comes after they cancelled their December run, making the spring dates their first time back since the Futique album cycle began. The tour, promoted by Live Nation, wraps May 9 at Welcome To Rockville in Daytona Beach, Florida. Tickets go on sale February 6 at 10am local time, with presales starting February 3.

The Montreal show follows sold-out UK and European legs supporting Futique, the band’s latest album released via Warner Records. Frontman Simon Neil addressed the cancelled December shows directly. “We were gutted to cancel the last run of shows before Xmas, so these gigs are going to be extra fucking special,” he said. “You’re gonna wanna be there.”

Futique has racked up tens of millions of streams since its release, led by single “A Little Love.” NME gave it four out of five stars, calling it a record where “the Scottish rock legends draw on their best moments and a Bowie-esque European sheen for a vulnerable yet life-affirming blast.” Kerrang praised it as “a bold, fresh effort full of tunes that are simultaneously immediate and deep.”

The album’s title refers to fleeting moments that only become significant in hindsight, a concept the band applied by revisiting their grunge-loving teenage roots while maintaining the ambition that defined their work from Only Revolutions through A Celebration of Endings. The result leans on what the trio do best: towering choruses, vulnerability, explosive dynamics, and unexpected sonic turns.

The 13-date run also hits Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall on May 2, the night before the Montreal show, along with stops in Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia. Presales begin with Citi cardholders on February 3 at 11am ET, followed by an artist presale at noon the same day.
