21 Concerts to Catch in Montreal During June

June doesn’t mess around. The month kicks off with Napalm Death and A$AP Rocky sharing a single Monday night across two very different rooms, and it closes with Evanescence unveiling their first new album in years at the Bell Centre — that’s a lot of ground covered in thirty days.

In between, Montreal gets Bleachers and Tash Sultana on the same Wednesday, Amyl and the Sniffers and Arkells on the same Friday, Black Country, New Road launching their North American run right here, and RÜFÜS DU SOL turning Parc Jean-Drapeau into an open-air rave with Maribou State in tow. There’s French hip-hop royalty in OrelSan, a long-awaited reunion show from The Fiery Furnaces, a landmark anniversary run from Canada’s own Kittie, and co-headlining folk-pop via Rachel Bobbitt and Lia Pappas-Kemps at the Foufs.

It’s a sprawling, eclectic month with something for every corner of the city’s music scene. Here’s a glimpse of the outstanding concerts coming to Montreal this month. Which performances will you be attending?

Napalm Death

Napalm Death are among the most important bands in heavy music history — the Birmingham, UK outfit formed in 1981 and are widely credited as pioneers of the grindcore genre, blending crust punk and death metal into a ferocious, blast-beaten assault with ferociously sociopolitical lyrics. The current lineup — vocalist Barney Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist John Cooke, and drummer Danny Herrera — continues to make some of the most punishing live music anywhere on the planet. This is a rare Montreal appearance, and they bring Primitive Man along for a suitably crushing night.

If you’ve been sleeping on Rocky as a live performer, this is your wake-up call.

Audrey Hobert

Audrey Hobert is one of the most exciting voices in the alt-pop space right now. Her debut album Who’s the Clown?, released on RCA Records in 2025, fuses synth-pop, dance-punk, and hyperpop with a sharp, diaristic wit — and it’s made her one of the most talked-about new artists on both sides of the Atlantic. This is her first time performing in Montreal, and if the songs translate to the stage the way the record suggests, it’ll be a memorable one.

5 Seconds of Summer

5 Seconds of Summer are headlining arenas on their EVERYONE’S A STAR! World Tour, supporting their sixth studio album Everyone’s A Star! — their first record under Republic Records, released in November 2025. Amyl and the Sniffers

Amyl and the Sniffers swept the 2025 ARIA Awards — Album of the Year, Best Group, and Best Rock Album among their four trophies — for Cartoon Darkness, their third studio album, released in October 2024. The Melbourne foursome’s pub-rock-meets-punk fury is the kind of thing that makes sense only when you hear it at full volume, and vocalist Amy Taylor is one of the most electrifying front people working today. Coming to Place Bell — which makes this a bigger room than they’ve typically played here — this is a milestone show for one of the most exciting bands on Earth.

Arkells

Arkells are the all-time record holders of the JUNO Award for Group of the Year and one of Canada’s most beloved live rock acts. The Hamilton, Ontario outfit released their latest album Between Us on April 17, 2026 — an 11-track record produced with Grammy Award-winning producer John Congleton — and they’re bringing it on the road. Catch them at the Beanfield on the same Friday Amyl plays Place Bell — a hell of a choice to have to make.

The Fiery Furnaces

The Fiery Furnaces — the sibling duo of Matthew and Eleanor Friedberger, originally from Oak Park, Illinois — reunite for a special run of shows centred on their 2004 album Blueberry Boat, which got a vinyl reissue in 2025 for its 20th anniversary. The band are among the most inventive and challenging voices in American indie rock and art pop, and these reunion shows are a rare opportunity to hear that record performed live. Bar le Ritz is exactly the right venue.

Don Toliver‘s album OCTANE, released on Cactus Jack/Atlantic in January 2026, debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 — his first chart-topper. OCTANE‘s melodic, sample-heavy sound has connected with fans in a big way, and a Bell Centre show on a Sunday night is a statement.

Tash Sultana

Tash Sultana is one of the more remarkable stories in contemporary music — the Melbourne multi-instrumentalist went viral in 2016 with a bedroom recording of “Jungle,” built a global fanbase from there, and has been filling rooms and festivals ever since. Their 2025 EP Return to the Roots reconnects with the raw, one-person-band energy that first caught people’s attention. Daisy the Great opens. A Tuesday at MTelus, but it’s going to feel like a special night.

Rachel Bobbitt + Lia Pappas-Kemps

Two of the most compelling indie singer-songwriters on the Canadian scene share the stage at Foufounes for a co-headlining show to close out their spring tour. Rachel Bobbitt, from the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia and now based in Toronto, released her debut full-length Swimming Towards the Sand in October 2025 on Fantasy Records, produced by Chris Coady — the producer behind records by Beach House, Future Islands, and DIIV. Her melodic indie rock weaves dream pop textures and folk instincts into something genuinely distinctive. Don’t sleep on this one.

Bleachers

Bleachers — the New Jersey rock band led by Jack Antonoff — released their fifth album everyone for ten minutes on Dirty Hit on May 22, 2026. The lead single “you and forever” is a soaring love anthem, and the record continues the band’s run of emotionally expansive, arena-ready rock. This is a rare chance to see Bleachers in a mid-size room before the album cycle inevitably takes them somewhere bigger.

OrelSan

OrelSan is a phenomenon in francophone hip-hop — the Normandy rapper sold 300,000 tickets in 24 hours when he announced his current tour in support of La Fuite en Avant, released in November 2025. The album — with production from his long-standing collaborators and features including Thomas Bangalter — is an ambitious, cinematic record that extends the storytelling universe of his film Yoroï. A Bell Centre show from OrelSan is a full-scale event.

Black Country, New Road

Black Country, New Road launch their North American tour right here in Montreal — fitting, given how warmly the city has embraced the Cambridge band’s singular brand of art rock. Their third studio album Forever Howlong, released on Ninja Tune in April 2025 and produced by James Ford, is their strongest statement yet as a post-Isaac Wood band: whimsical, melancholy, and surprisingly beautiful. Horsegirl opens. This is a genuinely special night to be at MTelus.

Lambrini Girls

Brighton punk duo Lambrini Girls — Phoebe Lunny and Selin Macieira-Boşgelmez — are back after a difficult period that saw their North American tour rescheduled following Lunny’s serious injury. Their debut album Who Let the Dogs Out, released on City Slang Records in January 2025, landed to near-universal acclaim (Metacritic 83), and its riot grrrl, queercore, and punk energy earned them a spot at Glastonbury and a touring schedule that would’ve kept most bands busy for years. Catch them at the Beanfield on what promises to be a cathartic, high-energy night.

Kittie — the Canadian heavy metal band formed in London, Ontario in 1996 by sisters Morgan Lander (vocals/guitar) and Mercedes Lander (drums) — are celebrating their 30th anniversary with the Legacy of Fire Tour: 30 Years of Kittie, their first full North American headline run in over a decade. Their seventh album Fire, released on Sumerian Records in June 2024, hit number 13 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart and confirmed the band’s remarkable resurgence. This is the final date of the entire tour, which makes the Montreal Beanfield show something genuinely historic. Kingdom of Giants and Gore support.

Evanescence

Evanescence close out the month at the Bell Centre with the 2026 World Tour, supporting Sanctuary — their new album on BMG, released June 5. With Spiritbox and Nova Twins opening, this is a stacked bill and a massive night to end June on.
