What a night. A completely sold-out, absolutely must-see concert that delivered from the first note to the last.
King Buffalo
- Sean McCay: vocals/guitar
- Dan Reynolds: bass
- Scott Donaldson: drums

King Buffalo has quickly become one of my favourite recent discoveries, and after this performance, I’d love to see these three incredibly talented musicians return as the main act. Their set was hypnotic and immersive, blending heavy riffs, melodic passages, and with clear influences from Tool, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin — all while maintaining their own distinct identity.
They opened with Grifter, a heavy and melodic track that immediately set the tone. Then came Mammoth, one of my all-time favourite King Buffalo songs — bluesy, psychedelic, and driven by massive riffs that had the entire venue locked in.
But the highlight was Balrog.
The precision and the fidelity of every single note — both instrumental and vocal — made it the standout performance of their set. King Buffalo has officially secured a place in my top 10 bands.

All Them Witches
- Charles Michael Parks Jr.: bass/vocals
- Ben McLeod: guitar/vocals
- Christian Powers: drums
- Allan Van Cleave: keys/violin
Although I wasn’t deeply familiar with All Them Witches before this show, their set made an immediate impact. Their sound draws from a range of influences — Soundgarden, Hendrix, Black Sabbath, and even rootsy blues players like Robert Johnson — yet they combine those elements into something uniquely their own.
They kicked off with a loud War Pigs background intro before launching into Bulls, which built slowly from a mellow, atmospheric opening into a heavy, powerful finale.

Enemy of My Enemy energized the crowd enough to spark a small, friendly mosh pit.
Then came The Marriage of Coyote Woman, delivered with beautiful precision — bluesy, psychedelic, and emotionally rich.
Their take on Red Rocking Chair transformed a simple folk tune into something haunting and atmospheric.
With two encores — including The Death of Coyote Woman — they closed the night to a well-deserved ovation.

Both bands showcased why they’re so respected in the modern heavy-psychedelic scene. Each has a distinct sound, both blend heaviness, melody, atmosphere, and vocals in a way that feels really powerful.
Thank you to King Buffalo and All Them Witches for an unforgettable night of heavy, melodic, and emotional music.
We need music.
Music brings us together in peace.
