April is shaping up to be one of those months when everything overlaps in Montreal. Lady Gaga is at the Bell Centre with The Mayhem Ball, Florence and the Machine are back for a night that’s already moving fast, and a few days later you’ve got SUNN O))) at Le National and Converge at Theatre Beanfield. It’s the usual contrast here, big rooms, small rooms, all happening at once.
On the heavier side, it’s stacked. Slaughter to Prevail, Helloween, SOEN with Dark Tranquillity, The Last Ten Seconds of Life, A Wilhelm Scream, UADA, Mortiis, and Master Boot Record all pass through at some point in the month. At the same time, Geordie Greep is at Club Soda, with Greet Death, FAETOOTH, and Lambrini Girls filling out the indie side of things.
Elsewhere, The Last Dinner Party land at MTelus, Machine Girl bring their usual chaos, and Arm’s Length hit Le Studio TD. Lewis Capaldi and Sarah Kinsley come through with very different kinds of sets, and Lemon Twigs wrap up the month.
