Worry (a.k.a. Kerry Samuels) released a raw and stripped-down new song titled New Pain.
The song speaks to us about the “pains of being human…the physical and also emotional pain.”
We can picture Kerry, in a dim-lit room, with a guitar and a whisper of syths, as the soothing voice of l i l a barely hangs on for the ride.
“The start of the song is a self-realization of cynicism, then turns to a reflection of past heartbreaks.”
Kerry is open about his own battle with chronic physical and emotional pain. While the music at first makes us feel melancholy, it breathes new life through a brief guitar solo to rise the spirits.
The pain might still be there, but possibly better times are just around the corner.
