It’s been just two weeks since Wilco dropped their brand-new surprise album, Star Wars, and now, Jeff Tweedy’s outfit has already unveiled plans for a North American tour, including a date at Montreal’s Metropolis on September 21st. William Tyler will open the show.
Wilco also have a handful of festival appearances on the books, including Outside Lands in San Francisco, Toronto Urban Roots Festival, Cityfolk Festival in Ottawa and Pilgrimage Festival in Franklin, Tenn.
If you haven’t yet, you can still grab Star Wars — which follows the band’s 2011 full-length, The Whole Love — on Wilco’s website; it’ll remain available for free download until Aug. 13th. You’ll be able to purchase the album on CD as early as Aug. 21th, and a vinyl edition will arrive on Nov. 27th.
