So, on Saturday, we had a little adventure to L’Olympia in Montreal. We went to catch While She Sleeps on their 2025 North American tour.
Before we got into the main event, we had a set from the nu metal band Vended from Des Moines, Iowa. Fun fact: the singer, Griffin Taylor, and drummer, Simon Crahan, are the kids of Slipknot legends Corey Taylor and Shawn Crahan. Since I’m a big Knot fan, I was super excited to see these guys rock out. They played a six-song set of heavy music, and you could totally tell they were influenced by their dads. They sound great, and Griffin’s voice is almost exactly like his dad’s. I could have listened to him all night! I especially liked “Dead To Me,” and “Asylum.”

Next up was England’s Bury Tomorrow. I didn’t know much about these guys, but they totally blew my mind. The metalcore band played a twelve-song set with a mix of new and old songs, three from their latest album, The Seventh Sun, including “Boltcutter,” and “Majesty.” I really liked “Cannibal”; it was so good it felt like their last song. They even left the stage! I thought the show was over, but to my surprise, their clean vocalist stayed out and kept singing without any other members on stage. Then, they all came back and played us three more songs. It was an awesome show, and everyone loved it.

The Sheffield boys finally arrived in Montreal, ready to bring their electrifying energy to the fans. They didn’t waste any time diving into their latest single, “Rainbows,” from their album Self Hell. It was a solid start to the show. These guys were here to have a blast, and they showed it. Singer Lawrence Taylor interacted with the crowd, even crowd surfing during “Anti-Social,” my personal favourite song. It was an absolute blast!

The rest of the night was just icing on the cake. They played a 14-song set from five different albums, and the crowd went wild. No one left this show feeling shortchanged. This was my sixth time seeing them, and I can’t wait to catch them again soon!
