Maisie Peters stopped by in Montreal on the North American leg of her tour to talk about her third album, Florescence, out now on Gingerbread Man and Atlantic. We get into the shift in tone from 2023's The Good Witch toward something calmer and more reflective, the break she took to slow down and find some stability, and how that period shaped the record. Maisie also opens up about featuring other artists for the first time, with Marcus Mumford on Say My Name in Your Sleep and Julia Michaels on Kingmaker. Elsewhere we cover her indie bookstore tour dates and why championing those spaces matters to her, growing up in the public eye since age 15, keeping a normal life in East London, and the milestones she is still chasing, from a proper festival summer to a long-awaited Tiny Desk. Florescence is available everywhere now. Subscribe to Montreal Rocks for more interviews, reviews and live coverage.
