There’s a new festival in town! Introducing Palomosa.

Montrealers looking to extend their summer fling will have a new option this year with the debut of Palomosa Festival.

The three-day event, September 5-7 at Parc Jean-Drapeau, takes over from the long-running MEG (Montreal Electronic Groove) festival with a fresh name and a broader musical scope. Organizers Multicolore promise a “vibrant, eclectic and unifying weekend” featuring pop, rock, R&B, Latin, and electronic music.

“We are brimming with joy” to carry on MEG’s legacy, says Mustapha Terki, MEG co-founder. Pascal Lefebvre, of Multicolore, adds Palomosa will be “a unifying event that pays homage to MEG’s legacy.”

The festival kicks off with a special Block Party on September 5th, with details to be announced soon. The main event unfolds on September 6th and 7th, with a full lineup reveal coming on April 25th.

In the meantime, music fans can sign up for updates at the Palomosa website https://palomosa.com/en.
