The Brian Jonestown Massacre were on fine form at the Beanfield Theatre Friday night.
The critically regarded space rock band’s North American tour landed in Montreal for one night, and our photographer, Dominic Blewett, was there to capture some of the action.
The incredible layering of guitar tones, the masterful drumming, and the renowned fuzzy quality that has guided them over their 33 years of collaboration were all on full display during the night.
The San Franciscans demonstrated their maturity in their performances with a sound that clearly evokes a musical era that came to life so many years ago as they played through the beautifully crafted setlist, which included some of their most well-known work since their formation in 1990 to their most recent foray into the psychedelic genre.
