Taylor McCluskey Releases Live From Piccolo Studios EP▪

Taylor McCluskey has released Live from Piccolo Studios, Montreal, 2026, a four-track EP recorded live at Piccolo Studios in Montreal.

The California-born, Montreal-based songwriter and filmmaker sings and plays rhythm guitar, with Ange E. Curcio on drums, Gary McKenzie on bass and Justin Read on lead guitar. All four songs were co-written with Glen Robinson, McCluskey’s producer and bandmate of a decade.

“I didn’t want to make a studio record that pretended to be live,” McCluskey says. “We went into Piccolo to play. What you’re hearing is four musicians in a room pushing each other. The amps, the drums, the bleed, the imperfections, that’s the good stuff.”

Performance videos filmed during the sessions accompany all four tracks: Dancing Mist, Breaking The Mirror, Cold Surveillance and Bullet in the Head.

The EP is dedicated to Susan Moss, a photographer and longtime friend of the band. The Piccolo session was her last shoot with them before her death. “Susan wasn’t simply our photographer. She was our friend and part of our creative family,” McCluskey says. “She knew how to disappear into a room and capture what was actually happening.”

The band also recorded four more songs live to tape at Hotel2Tango on September 29 with Howard Bilerman, the studio’s co-owner. Dark Thoughts, Ride My Soul, Roll With You and See You Through are due November 20 and feature Roman Pagliaro on bass.
