Taverne Tour 2025

Montreal’s Taverne Tour 2025 wrapped up this weekend, bringing three nights of live music to the Plateau’s intimate venues and neighbourhood bars. In the heart of winter, when the city’s concert scene typically slows down, this festival continues to offer something different—a chance to catch both emerging and established artists in spaces that aren’t always known for hosting live shows. With performances spread across venues like l’Escogriffe, le Ministère, Taverne Saint-Sacrement, and Pub Pit Caribou, this year’s edition featured a diverse lineup spanning post-punk, indie rock, hip-hop, and garage punk.

The lineup mixed local and international acts, with Wombo’s moody post-punk, Rough Francis’ high-energy punk rock, and Billy Woods’ intricate hip-hop standing out as highlights. Montreal bands were well represented, with We Are Wolves, Priors, VioleTT Pi, Kaya Hoax, APACALDA and la Sécurité all delivering strong sets. The Gories contributed a raw garage-punk edge, and The Sadies’ blend of rock and country seamlessly blended into the mix. Birds Of Prrrey, Void Republic, and Ribbon Skirt rounded out the festival with performances that showcased the range of styles on display.

Whether in a packed club or an unsuspecting tavern turned music venue for the weekend, Taverne Tour once again delivered a unique snapshot of the city’s live music scene. Scroll through the photos by our very own Andres Amaya below for a look at a few of this year’s performances.
