Suoni Per Il Popolo Reveals 2025 Lineup

Montreal’s Suoni Per Il Popolo Festival has unveiled the full program for its 25th edition, set to run from June 19 to 30. Spread across intimate Mile End venues—Casa del Popolo, La Sotterenea, and La Sala Rossa—the festival will host three shows nightly, continuing its tradition of presenting boundary-pushing music in accessible, community-driven spaces.

This year’s lineup reflects Suoni’s deep roots in the experimental and underground music scenes. Artists confirmed include noise pioneers Wolf Eyes, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Raven Chacon, and Ojibwe pow wow vocalist Joe Rainey. The bill also features a mix of emerging and established acts across genres: Portland psych-punks Lavender Flu, Montreal’s own Black Ox Orkestar, Anishinaabe multidisciplinary artist Anachnid, punk outfit Taxi Girls, and avant-garde saxophonist Joane Hétu.

Beyond the core schedule, Suoni will again activate outdoor and satellite spaces. On June 14, Théâtre de Verdure in Parc La Fontaine will host a free concert—marking a more public-facing prelude to the main festival. From June 20 to 22, a “Sound Circuit” series of exploratory performances will take place, while the final evening on June 30 will close with a contemplative night of ambient organ music in collaboration with Les Vespérales.

Now in its 25th year, Suoni Per Il Popolo—run by the not-for-profit Société des arts libres et actuels (SALA)—continues to offer a rare platform for artists operating outside commercial circuits, prioritizing experimentalism, accessibility, and social engagement.

Festival passes and individual event tickets are now available through the Suoni Per Il Popolo website.
