Sheenah Ko (Besnard Lakes) is set to release her album “Nowhere In Time” on March 27th, 2020 at URSA (5589 ave du Parc, Montreal). It’s a very intimate space, so make sure to get your tickets early.

Tickets: Facebook or Non-Facebook

Until then, we have another release to enjoy.

“When I wrote See You, I was just coming to the realization that this is a huge step in growing up, or else, you could become way too disconnected with yourself,” said Ko.

“It’s an incredible feeling when you can see and live life the way you did as a child, knowing this is who you really are with that pure, honest energy and curiosity”

As the main character (Larry Gering) puts on his space helmet, he rockets back to his youth and relives his skiing exploits.

The video was directed by Sheenah’s performance partner Brittney Canda (and shot by Vincent René-Lortie) who filmed using handheld cameras and editing in original Super 8 footage from Brittney’s dad, Larry Gering.

Unlike our main character, our own nostalgia is often filled with the victories, while the tumbles are normally forgotten. Remembering the mistakes allows us to enjoy the memories, while not feeling like we are missing out on imaginary glory days.

Sheenah captures the mood perfectly with the song.
