Norah Jones announces Montreal Jazzfest show

Norah Jones is set to embark on a summer North American tour in support of her upcoming album, Visions. The tour, spanning 31 dates, promises to be a musical journey through her latest musical offerings, bringing her signature blend of jazz, pop, and folk to audiences across the continent.

Norah Jones will play Montreal International Jazz Festival on July 2nd.

Jones, whose musical prowess has earned her the title of Billboard’s top jazz artist of the 2000s, will kick off the tour on May 6th in Boston. Following a month-long stint across the United States, she will make her way north to Canada, gracing stages in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Vancouver. The Canadian leg of the tour will see her performing at renowned venues such as Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, the Ottawa Jazz Festival, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

Fans eagerly anticipating the release of Visions can also look forward to a taste of what’s to come, as Jones recently unveiled a new single from the album titled “Staring At the Wall.” Describing the track as “one of my favourites” from the upcoming release, Jones reflects on the creative process behind it, stating, “It was kind of a left turn from everything else on the album. It’s the first time I played guitar with Leon [Michaels]; we were just trying to come up with something different.”

With its distinct sound and captivating lyrics, “Staring At the Wall” offers a glimpse into Jones’ evolving musical style, showcasing her willingness to experiment and push artistic boundaries. Set against the backdrop of her highly anticipated album release on March 8th via Blue Note, the single serves as a testament to Jones’ continued growth as a musician and storyteller.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public on March 1st, with presales beginning on February 27th.
