KILLY
For the first half hour of the night, it was as if all of MTelus bought their tickets to see Killy. The crowd just went wild for this Toronto based hip-hop artist. There were moshes, screaming of lyrics, and a whole lot of hype whenever a new song started up.

The stage was well equipped with colourful flashing lights, Killy’s dance moves, and his DJ to help hype up the crowd. Killy put off a great performance of his own songs and also played some well-known songs within the rap community, which brought MTelus to the high energy level they’d need for what’s next.

NAV
Shortly after an amazing opener, the crowd of MTelus remembered who they were here for. Loudly chanting “We want NAV” as they waited for him to take his spot on stage. When he finally did, all hell broke loose. Fans were screaming lyrics, dancing like crazy, and moshed like their lives depended on it. The hype never died down.

NAV performed an unreleased song, which everyone seemed to go nuts for, and he also played songs in dedication to his friends in the game that are in prison, or who have passed away too early on. But doing so was not meant to bring the crowd down, or so make anyone upset. That was clear as day. Instead, it was meant to celebrate their memory and to keep them living through the music they’ve released during their lives.

There was no encore once the show ended, but I heard that NAV went out to the floor once people cleared out, and took pictures with fans who stayed in hopes of meeting him.
Be sure to catch NAV the next time he finds himself in Montreal. He’s the life of the party, and you’d surely regret missing out on his performance.
