Napalm Death brought their signature grindcore fury to the Theatre Fairmount in Montreal on June 1, 2026, capping a night of extreme metal that rarely let up. Portal Tomb opened the bill and set an appropriately heavy tone, before the rest of the lineup pulled from opposite ends of the spectrum: Wiegedood, whose cold, hypnotic black metal ran tense and disorienting, and Primitive Man, whose suffocating doom pressed down on the room with sheer weight.
Together, the four acts made for a raw, immersive, and visually heavy showcase. Where Wiegedood dealt in atmosphere and Primitive Man in slow-motion dread, Napalm Death answered with speed and volume, a reminder of why they remain a reference point for the genre this far into their run.
