While Maybe Greys is a newly born Montreal project, the music and songs have been in the making for a long time.

Front man and songwriter, John Hale, was born and raised in Calgary, AB and moved to Montreal in 2008 to pursue a music career. A piano player from a young age and a music grad from Grant McEwan University in Edmonton, Hale’s entire life was surrounded and inspired by music of all kinds. His increasing obsession and love for songwriting brought him across the country to be a full time musician. Instead, he found himself at JMSB on the path to an accounting degree and eventually to his dismay, ended up with a government job. Finding himself in a lifestyle opposite of the one he’d set out to create, John left his nine to five to finally dedicate his time fully to music and his craft.

The band have yet to announce any concrete tour dates but with any luck they’ll will be taking it on the road soon.
