Lorna Shore Returns with New Album, North American Tour

After a three-year hiatus, extreme metal outfit Lorna Shore is staging their comeback with a new album and extensive North American tour. The New Jersey-based band has announced their fifth studio album, “I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me,” set for release on September 12 via Century Media Records.

A mysterious billboard appearing on the New Jersey Turnpike in the band’s hometown recently sparked speculation among fans. Today’s announcement confirms those rumours, accompanied by the release of their first single “Oblivion” with a music video directed by Dylan Hryciuk of Versa Films.

“Writing this song felt like the culmination of all the things that we’ve done in the past, but brought to the next level; a more evolved version of what Lorna Shore truly is,” explains vocalist Will Ramos about the new track. He describes a conceptual framework involving “a post-apocalyptic world in the (hopefully distant) future. A world where we have sown the seeds of our own destruction.”

The forthcoming album marks their first release since 2022’s “Pain Remains,” during which time the band has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and built a significant following.

Supporting the album, Lorna Shore will embark on a North American tour beginning September 17, with The Black Dahlia Murder, Shadow Of Intent, and PeelingFlesh. The tour includes a stop at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec on October 28. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 23, while fan presales begin Monday, May 19.

The album’s track list features ten songs: “Prison of Flesh,” “Oblivion,” “In Darkness,” “Unbreakable,” “Glenwood,” “Lionheart,” “Death Can Take Me,” “War Machine,” “A Nameless Hymn,” and “Forevermore.”

The album will be available in multiple formats, including digital, limited edition CDs, and various vinyl options, each with unique colourways targeted at collectors and international markets.
