“Leaving the Table”, from Leonard Cohen’s critically acclaimed, award-winning album You Want It Darker, debuted last night in honour of Cohen’s 2017 Polaris Music Prize nomination.
Created by Canadian director, Christopher Mills, it features an intricate perception of Cohen’s lyrics through nearly 1700 captivating layers of aesthetics that follow his journey and legacy. Known for his animation and cinematography, Mills uses original hand-painted photos and backgrounds resulting in an innovative video that encapsulates interpretations of different eras in Cohen’s life.

It was announced yesterday that the Cohen family will host a memorial concert in Montreal this November with guests including Elvis Costello, Lana Del Rey, Sting and Damien Rice.
