Krisiun Bring 25 Years of Armageddon to Foufounes Électriques

Brazilian death metal titans Krisiun are rolling into Montreal’s Foufounes Électriques on November 28th, and they’re not coming alone. The brothers Kolesne are celebrating a quarter-century of their landmark album Conquerors of Armageddon by performing it in its entirety, joined by a murderers’ row of North American death metal: Los Angeles tech-death masters Abysmal Dawn, New York slam pioneers Pyrexia, and North Dakota’s Gorgatron.

This tour marks a full-circle moment for Abysmal Dawn, who cut their teeth on their very first tour alongside Krisiun back in 2006. Nearly two decades later, vocalist and guitarist Charles Elliott remains enthusiastic about the reunion. The LA outfit has been busy this autumn—they dropped a new single, “Cradle of Affliction,” in October and have been tracking their highly anticipated sixth album, with drum sessions wrapping in September. Expect to hear some of that fresh material alongside deep cuts from their catalogue.

Pyrexia arrive in Montreal fresh off an aggressive 2025 schedule that saw them tear through Europe on the Wrath Over Europe Tour and demolish stages at Death Feast Open Air in Germany this past August. The Long Island crew helped define New York’s brutal slam sound with their 1993 debut Sermon of Mockery, and their 2021 album Gravitas Maximus proved they’ve lost none of their ferocity three decades on.

Rounding out the bill is Gorgatron, who’ve been earning their stripes the hard way. The Fargo quintet released Sentience Revoked in June 2024, a ruthless display of riff-focused OSDM that recalls Suffocation and Hate Eternal without sounding derivative. They’ve been grinding it out on the road all year, bringing their bruising grooves to increasingly larger crowds.

This is the kind of stacked lineup that doesn’t hit Montreal often—four bands at different career stages, all operating at peak brutality. Foufounes is the perfect room for this level of intensity.
