Knocked Loose, the relentless hardcore quintet from Louisville, is gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated album, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To, slated to drop on May 10 via Pure Noise Records.
The lead single and accompanying video, “Blinding Faith,” serves as a ferocious introduction to what promises to be a diverse and cohesive offering from the band. This track doesn’t hold back, wielding intense tempo changes to deliver a scathing critique of religious hypocrisy, drawing inspiration from guitarist Isaac Hale’s personal experiences with church culture.
Reflecting on the track, Hale pulls no punches, stating, “It was just hilarious how many people showed up to church that I knew were rude, horrible, selfish people. They knew that it made them seem like a better person — or if they said the words, it would redeem them of any negative quality just because they showed face.”

Accompanying the album’s announcement is news of a headline North American spring tour, with most shows already sold out, including iconic venues such as NYC’s Terminal 5, Brooklyn Steel, The Shrine LA, and Austin’s Stubb’s Amphitheater, among others. They play Montreal’s Olympia on June 4th.
You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To promises to be a relentless sonic journey, featuring ten tracks clocking in at a gripping 27 minutes. Grammy-nominated producer Drew “WZRD BLD” Fulk lends his expertise to the album, weaving together a tapestry of blastbeat-driven fury, chaotic turbulence, and seismic breakdowns, all while incorporating ear-catching auxiliary percussion and shout-along hooks.
The album also boasts collaborations with pop-meets-metal trailblazer Poppy on “Suffocate.”
According to Hale, “On this album, we go the fastest we’ve ever gone; we go the scariest we’ve ever gone. We also go the catchiest and the most melodic that we’ve ever gone, and that’s the point. Instead of branching off into a specific direction, we want to encompass ALL directions.”
