Kim & Kanye’s Daughter, North West, Parties at Osheaga

Twelve-year-old North West, daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, made a surprise appearance at Montreal’s Osheaga Festival on Sunday, August 3, where she was spotted watching Atlanta rapper Bktherula’s set from the VIP section of the Valley Stage.

Wearing a T-shirt from Bktherula’s recent LUCY album, North was seen enthusiastically engaging with the performance. Video clips posted online show the young celebrity calling out, “I love you!” to the rapper mid-show, with Bktherula responding warmly: “I love you too.”

The moment extended beyond the stage. Backstage after the set, North gifted the artist a bouquet of flowers and posed for a series of photos. Bktherula later shared the images on Instagram with the caption “North appreciation.” This wasn’t their first meeting — in an interview with iHeartRadio earlier this year, Bktherula confirmed that North also attended her performance at the Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash festival in Chicago this past June.

North West, though only 12, is already carving out her own space in pop culture. She made her music debut alongside her father on the track “Talking / Once Again,” released in early 2024 as part of Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s collaborative Vultures 1 album. That same year, she performed live during the Vultures listening party in Paris, marking her first public musical appearance. The performance drew global media coverage, with North later telling i-D magazine, “When I’m older, I want to own Yeezy and SKIMS, and I want to be a business owner.”

Her interest in rap and fashion has been increasingly visible. She regularly attends high-profile events, including Paris Fashion Week and live music festivals, and frequently appears on TikTok with her mother, sometimes sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of her life.

Bktherula, meanwhile, continues to build a loyal following with her genre-bending mix of rap, punk, and hyperpop. Her latest project, LUCY, released in February, is a moody, melodic trip into themes of ego, escapism, and self-reinvention. Although she wrapped her FIVE tour in April, select festival appearances like Osheaga have given fans limited chances to see her perform live this summer.
