Julia Jacklin has made her biggest career move yet. The acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter has signed to 4AD and to mark the occasion, she’s announcing a sweeping 2026/27 world tour that brings her to Montreal’s Beanfield Theatre.
For the uninitiated, Jacklin has spent the past several years quietly becoming one of indie music’s most essential voices. Albums like Don’t Let the Kids Win and Pre Pleasure earned her rapturous critical praise and a devoted fanbase on both sides of the Pacific. 4AD — the storied British label home to Bon Iver, Big Thief, Deerhunter, and Alvvays — is a natural fit: a label with a gift for artists who make emotionally complex, sonically adventurous music that connects on a gut level.
The tour spans 23 North American dates starting October 20 in San Diego, with a UK/European leg following in early 2027. Canada gets two dates: Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall on November 15 and Montreal’s Beanfield Theatre on November 17. Both shows will be among the most hotly anticipated of the fall indie season.
Tickets go on general sale Friday, June 5 at 10am local. A presale begins Wednesday, June 3 at 10am — that’s tomorrow.
