On May 8th, EVERGLOW returned to the stage with their first ever performance in Montreal. Fans from across Canada came to see the show, the overall excitement of the crowd was contagious.
Noting that the group now has four members compared to their former five, the group still manages to deliver an energetic performance. The outfits were a gorgeous mix of grunge as the members danced around in chunky boots and silver highlights around the tops.
The soundcheck was very much a curated moment to get the biggest fans excited for the show, though there was a very quick pace to the supposed ‘intimate’ moments, making them feel very rehearsed and ‘corporate.’ It weighed ever so slightly on the crowd. This clearly comes with the limitations of K-pop groups in general and is easily ignored. But this all melted away when the girls came onto the stage for their incredible hour-long performance.
The show itself was a perfect mix of choreography as well as vocals that filled up the venue with pure joy and excitement from fans. There’s a clear feeling of endearment flowing through the crowd that almost injects itself into the flow of the group. With the fans, they are stronger. EVERGLOW showed up and wanted to give the fans exactly what they were craving: a showstopping moment to prove that they were stronger than ever before.
