Effacé Announces New Single “Aimer t’aimer” Ahead of Debut Album

Emerging Quebec artist Effacé is set to release his latest single, “Aimer t’aimer,” on December 6, 2024. The track marks the final preview before the launch of his debut album, Introduction, which arrives January 31, 2025.

Effacé has taken a quiet but deliberate approach to his career. Preferring to remain out of the public eye, the singer-songwriter maintains a minimal presence on social media and rarely gives interviews. Despite this, his work has started to gain traction, thanks to its blend of intimate lyrics and synth-driven melodies.

Effacé’s background in classical music is evident in his compositions. He grew up singing in church choirs, an influence still detectable in the vocal arrangements of his earlier singles, “En moi” and “Nos instants.” Both tracks explore themes of love and self-reflection, set to lush, piano-infused synth-pop backdrops.

Speaking about his upcoming album, Effacé has described Introduction as deeply personal. It was co-produced with Mathieu Roy, a guitarist and producer who has collaborated with David Pineau. The two artists met at the CEGEP de Sainte-Foy and drew inspiration from 1980s aesthetics and European pop to shape the album’s sound. “It’s about experimenting and finding what feels honest,” Effacé said in a rare comment.

“Aimer t’aimer” continues in the vein of his earlier work, offering a rhythmic yet contemplative take on love and longing. While Effacé hasn’t revealed much about the track, it’s expected to reflect the thematic and stylistic cohesion of the album.
