Micro – DJ Set
The night got started off on the proper foot when Micro took his spot behind the DJ booth. He played a multitude of popular artists that the crowd knew well. They sang along to each track and cheered once they heard what was next up in the mix.
Micro encouraged the crowd to sing as loud as they could and really drew everyone out of their shell. There weren’t many people in attendance, but the louder the music got, the more everyone got moving.

76 Tutes
Seamlessly, another artist joined Micro up on stage. 76 Tutes got in front of the crowd with a microphone in his hand and a great attitude. His voice was clear, and his words flowed nicely. There were a few fans of his in the audience—they sang along with him and brought further life to the crowd.
His set was catchy and well-structured. He engaged with his audience, making the most out of the small crowd gathered in front of him. The crowd seemed to be liking him too—they put their phone flashes up when he asked for it and waved their arms in the air for him as well. It was fun to watch 76 win the crowd over throughout his short set.

For his closing song, 76 Tutes invited another artist on stage. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but judging by the chemistry the two shared while performing together, I can assume that they’ve certainly worked together before. Even though 76’s guest’s microphone was so quiet I wondered if it was even turned on, their duo was fun to watch.
It made for a great closer and amped up the audience even more. As soon as the two stepped off stage, the crowd instantly started cheering—both to show their appreciation for 76’s set and to try to encourage the next artist to get started. Their wish didn’t come true just yet, and their cheering faded out as Frank Ocean’s “Novocane” filled the air during intermission. Everyone would have to wait just a little while longer for the party to continue.

DC The Don
Soon enough, Micro found his way behind the DJ decks once more and got the crowd riled up with some well-known songs all over again. Suddenly, an explosive voice boomed through the room. DC The Don came in at 110%, ready to completely switch up and amplify the vibe in the Fairmount Theatre.
During the first song of his set, he jumped straight into the crowd and demanded a pit be opened up on the floor. Once the beat of his song dropped, he showed those kids how it’s done. The crowd took to him immediately and started moving alongside him without missing a beat. It was a sight to behold.
DC’s voice was crystal clear and chock-full of passion and energy. His microphone was equipped with a tasteful amount of autotune, which really amplified his screams. His passion for his music shone from him as he performed—he ran and jumped across the stage, drawing all eyes to be on him.

He interacted with his audience a ton—he grasped people’s hands while screaming into his microphone and even invited a fan up on stage. He shared his microphone with the young man and wrapped his arm around his shoulders while the two thrashed around. When the fan returned to the crowd, his friends could be seen grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him along to the beat, celebrating that special moment he just had with DC The Don.
He gave his set his complete all for the entire time he was on stage, and the crowd absolutely loved it. They jumped around and moshed together—everyone offered all their energy to DC in return for his phenomenal performance.

DC The Don doesn’t only know how to get a crowd pumped up, or how to put on one hell of a show—he knows how to connect with his audience. It felt natural when he shook people’s hands. He looked each person in the eyes with a wide smile spread across his face. He also showed his audience some tough love, yelling at them to get off their phones and get inside the moshpit, to be in the moment with him!
If some folks didn’t know of DC The Don before going to the show, then they’re guaranteed to leave as a fan of his. He’s that much of an exhilarating artist.

Eem Triplin
While everyone waited, we got to see a quick set change be executed. The stage crew brought out a sofa—split yellow and blue down its centre—with a matching coffee table placed in front of it. The fuzzy carpet that had been on the stage floor from the beginning tied the scene together, and it really brought up my excitement for the upcoming set.
Finally, the house lights went dim, and it cued up the crowd to start their cheering. Micro started up the opening song, “Came In It.” Eem Triplin made his way onto the stage in front of a crowd of people who’d been waiting all night for his turn on the lineup.
The lighting devices on stage twirled and flickered along to the beats, and the large screen behind everything had animations playing on a loop. The stage setup felt greatly immersive, yet didn’t take any attention away from Eem himself. He worked with the set, walked around on stage and occasionally sat down on the couch while he spat out his clever lyrics.

The crowd congregated in front of the stage like moths to a flame—they sang along to every word and did not stop dancing, despite the moshing they had participated in for the previous set.
Eem’s passion for his craft reflected out from the audience as much as it did off himself. They committed to moving as one and shared their voices with Eem for the entirety of his set. It was clear he was having just as much fun as his audience. He engaged with them multiple times, grabbing people’s phones to give them a memory to keep and watch over and over. He grabbed hands that reached out to him and firmly encouraged the young people in the crowd to pursue their dreams to the fullest, no matter what they might be.
Eem played a great set filled with songs from his very first album, “Melody of a Memory,” released in February 2025. Every time he asked the audience if they “fucked with it,” he was met with loud cheers of adoration. It’s clear the album had been highly anticipated for quite some time. He’s been releasing EPs and singles since 2018, slowly building up a solid discography before making the jump and putting out an album.

His set included songs like “CRAZY HES,”* “If We Being Honest,” “FIJI” and “Out Miami,” all from “Melody of a Memory.”
Soon enough, Eem started demanding mosh pits to be opened up. I just wished the crowd would’ve been a bit smarter about their moshing. It seemed like a lot of fun for those thrashing in the middle, but everyone in the first couple of rows up front were being pushed forward pretty hard—forced to catch themselves from falling face-first on the stage.
Near the end of his set, Eem addressed his audience once more and let them know that despite his Montreal show being one of the smallest of his tour, we had the most energy to date. He expressed his love for his listeners in Montreal—that the people clearly know how to party here. He received a lot of applause for his comments and proceeded to play a few more songs such as “LOUIS V,” “AWKWARD FREESTYLE” and “JUST FRIENDS?”
Before taking his leave after his closing song, Eem gave as many people as he could a good hug and shook some more hands. It was a sweet ending to a fantastic night. It didn’t matter that it was a Tuesday night—Montreal’s crowd was ready to party at the Eem Triplin show. And party they sure did!
