Drugdealer, the psych-pop project led by Michael Collins, played Les Foufounes Électriques on Saint Catherine Street, bringing its warm, 70s-leaning soft rock to one of Montreal’s grittiest and most storied rooms.
It’s a fitting kind of mismatch: Collins builds songs around sunlit melodies and loose, collaborative arrangements, and the venue’s poster-plastered walls gave that easy, communal sound a rougher frame than you might expect.
