Alternative rock act Death Cab For Cutie will play Montreal’s Metropolis on May 8th 2015 but without its co-founder, guitarist and longtime producer Chris Walla, who departed the band last year.
However Walla is featured on Death Cab’s new album, Kintsugi, due out March 31st, which takes its name from the Japanese art form of putting fractured ceramics together again with gold. Support comes from indie rock act The Antlers.
An October 2014 Rolling Stone interview with Ben Gibbard revealed new songs entitled “No Room In Frame”, “Black Sun”, “Beverly Drive”, and “Good Help” would feature alongside seven further tracks on the new record.
Tickets for the Montreal date go on sale on Friday 30th January via Evenko.
