Charlotte Cardin is back with a new single and EP announcement. Today, she dropped “Lonely with Our Love,” giving us a taste of what’s to come in her upcoming EP, A Week in Nashville, which will be released on May 17th via Cult Nation.
In her latest track, Cardin dives deep into the complexities of relationships with a piano-driven ballad that explores the raw emotions of loneliness within a partnership. Stripping away the glitz and glam, “Lonely with Our Love” lays bare the vulnerability of questioning the state of a connection, with Cardin’s voice echoing the sentiment, “Are we even happy anymore?” It’s a question that hits close to home for many, capturing the mix of closeness and isolation that can exist in love.

Collaborating with Gabe Simon, Cardin shares the magic of their songwriting session, where the music seemed to flow effortlessly, capturing the essence of being together yet feeling alone. “Loneliness is something we all feel, but there’s a different kind that comes from being with someone,” Cardin reflects, touching on the paradoxical nature of shared solitude.
This release follows Cardin’s previous EP, Une Semaine à Paris, which dropped in November 2023. Her sophomore album, 99 Nights, earned rave reviews and nabbed two JUNO awards for ‘Pop Album of the Year’ and ‘Album of the Year’ in 2024.
