All Time Low brought their “Sounds of Letting Go” tour to Montreal’s Olympia on September 19, 2023.

Openers Lauren Hibberd, Grayscale, and Gym Class Heroes warmed up the crowd as All Time Low fans slowly made their way in. It was a nice mix-and-match of styles, offering something for everyone. Lauren Hibberd’s band started strong with a fast-paced and energetic set, while Grayscale had an overall mellower and slower pace.

Gym Class Heroes brought the energy back up with singalongs, throwback hits, a live ASL interpreter, and a surprise appearance from All Time Low’s lead singer, Alex, during “Cupid’s Chokehold” – a great way to prepare the crowd for All Time Low’s set.

In a three-quarters-full Olympia, All Time Low delivered an incredibly strong performance, playing back-to-back songs for most of the show. The stage design, with integrated screens as a backdrop, complemented the performance. Videos, live cameras, and lyrics scrolled on the screens as the songs played. Alex Gaskarth and the crew put on a meticulously produced show, ensuring high sound quality and energy from the band.

Fans were delighted with the setlist, as the “Sounds of Letting Go” tour featured a good mix of new songs while also incorporating some classics here and there. It was a special opportunity to hear the new material live, especially “Fake As Hell” featuring Avril Lavigne, which was released just a week prior. Overall, it was an amazingly well-produced pop-punk show that pleased both new and longtime fans.
