Actors @ Bar Le Ritz PDB

Masters of Dark Wave, Actors not only create the best of the genre, but put on an engaging live performance for their growing dedicated fanbase.

Towering Jason Corbett (Guitar) is flanked by the ultra-cool pair of Shannon Hemmett (Keys) and Kendall Wooding (Bass) and backed by the always smiling Adam Fink (Drums).

What follows is a hard-hitting dose of Post-Punk at its best.

L’Appel Du Vide started us off with the band’s signature sound, and we were all instantly swept off our feet so that none of us could stand still.

Like a punch to our nostalgia, the band perfectly delivered some of my favorites: Love U More, Like Suicide, Only Lonely, Strangers, Bury Me, among others.

The band ended with We Don’t Have to Dance…Oh yes we do!

The encore started with Post Traumatic Love, followed by How Deep is the Hole, ending with crème de la crème of Face Meets Glass.  Absolutely divine.

Montreal got a special treat with one extra song, which was not on the setlist or on Setlist FM for the other shows:  Cold Eyes.

Actors are a band that truly appreciate and make themselves available to their fans. They are always ready to sign a vinyl, take a picture or just talk. They even regularly participate in The Academy, a fan Facebook group led by Kym Pop.

If you missed the interview with Jason Corbett, watch now. If you join The Academy, there is a part II just for the members.

If anyone wasn’t a fan before the show, they are now.
