Hard rock legends AC/DC will play Montreal’s Olympic Stadium on August 31st 2015.
The band, whose line-up no longer includes founding guitarist Malcolm Young, will play the 65,000 capacity stadium as part of their summer tour which is rumoured to include a headlining performance at the UK’s Glastonbury Festival as well as the already announced gig at California’s Coachella festival.
It seems as though drummer Phil Rudd will also be missing from the tour, with former AC/DC drummer Chris Slade said to be taking over the position due to Rudd’s much publicised legal issues. Slade is rumoured to be standing in for estranged Rudd, who is at home in New Zealand awaiting trial on on charges of threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.
This new date come in support of the band’s latest album, Rock or Bust, which debuted in the top 5 of the U.S. album charts after its December 2nd release. Tickets on sale at evenko.ca Monday February 16 at 10AM!
