Scorpions to play brand new arena in Laval

German rock legends Scorpions will play a brand new venue in Laval after it opens later this year.

The band will play Place Bell on September 19th 2017 as part of their North American Crazy World Tour.

“When our album Crazy World was released back in ’91, right at the end of the cold war, we toured around a world that was pretty crazy back then, but there was so much hope in the air for a more peaceful future. Now 26 years later, things are getting more crazy every other day. After all these years, ‘Crazy World’ is still a good motto for our upcoming world tour. We are very much looking forward to seeing all of you out there,” states Klaus Meine.

Although Megadeth will open most shows on the tour, no support has been confirmed for the Laval show yet.

Place Bell is a multipurpose sports facility under construction in Laval and will include a 10,000 seat main arena and two smaller ice rinks.

The facility will be managed by Evenko, the same company that operates the Bell Centre in Montreal, home of the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League.
