Sepulchral Productions to celebrate 25 Years of crushing Quebec metal

Prepare to raise a fist (or horns) in the air because Quebec’s own legendary record label, Sepulchral Productions, is about to turn 25!

Since 1999, they’ve been a cornerstone of the scene, putting out killer metal and earning the respect of headbangers worldwide. It all started with a bang – Frozen Shadows’ “Dans les Bras des Immortels” was their groundbreaking first release, and they haven’t slowed down since.

Sepulchral Productions is also responsible for the legendary Messe des Morts Festival in Montreal, a celebration of the darker side of music that draws in fans of black metal from across the globe. Held annually, this festival transforms the city into a haven for those who revel in the atmospheric and intense sounds of the genre.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary, Sepulchral Productions is throwing a two-day festival on June 20th and 21st at Piranha Bar in Montreal. Expect a lineup steeped in the Quebec metal sound the label champions but with a few surprises sprinkled in to keep things interesting.

Sepulchral Productions has been supporting Quebec’s metal scene since its beginning, fostering a community of artists and fans who are as passionate about the music as they are. They’ve also helped countless bands get their start, especially in the black metal scene.

One such band is Gevurah, a two-piece force that’s been tearing up the Quebec black metal scene since their 2011 demo. While not officially signed to Sepulchral Productions, there’s a deep connection between the two. They’ve collaborated for years, and Sepulchral Productions even had a hand in putting on Gevurah’s very first show back in 2015. Seeing Gevurah at the festival is a tribute to the label’s commitment to the scene and the friendships they’ve built along the way.

For Gevurah fans, this is a homecoming over a year in the making. It’s a chance to reunite with the community and celebrate what makes metal so special: the shared love for heavy music that transcends everything else.
